Questions

Outage Watch questions, answered

Where does this outage information come from?
From the same public outage maps SCE, PG&E, SDG&E, and LADWP show on their own websites. We check them each time you search, so results match what your utility has published at that moment.
Which utilities does this cover, and what does each one share?
SCE and SDG&E publish planned maintenance outages days in advance, so you'll see those plus current outages. PG&E's map shows planned work once it starts, plus current outages and wildfire safety shutoff areas. LADWP's map shows active outages only. Not sure which utility you have? Choose "Not sure" and we'll work it out from your address.
Why does it show outages near me instead of only my house?
Utilities list each outage at a point on their maps. We show everything within 3 miles of your address and flag the ones in your ZIP code when the utility provides it. Your utility contacts affected customers directly, so check your account for outages on your specific meter.
