The Grid Resilience Program is a utility-supported initiative that helps qualifying homeowners lower energy costs, add battery backup, and support grid reliability — with no upfront equipment costs.
Through a third-party ownership (TPO) structure, eligible homes can receive solar, battery storage, long-term equipment coverage, and roof repairs if needed. Homeowners don't purchase, lease, or finance anything. Instead, they continue paying a monthly electric bill through their utility under the
Net Billing rate plan — which offers discounted energy rates and pays customers for excess power sent back to the grid.
These programs exist because the U.S. grid was built decades ago and wasn't designed for today's demand — EVs, remote work, AI data centers, and widespread electrification are straining it daily. Utilities encourage grid resilience participation because homes that generate and store energy locally reduce grid strain, help prevent outages, and can export power during peak demand.
Not every home qualifies. Eligibility depends on structural readiness, energy usage, and roof requirements. As an independent brokerage, our role is to evaluate each home, explain the options clearly, and only move forward when the program genuinely makes sense for the homeowner.
